| Abstract | This thesis aims at analysing organizational culture of National Load Dispatch Centre in
order to access current culture, to define a new desired culture then propose suitable
process to build new corporate culture.
The study is a qualitative case study, in which, the data has been collected through
reference documents, surveys and in-depth interviews with the stakeholders.
Theoretical framework consists of the development of survey questions analysing the
current state of organizational culture, identify appropriate cultural trends based on
some basic criteria and defining the construction way of a new corporate culture.
Corporate culture is not a new topic, but it gained little interest in state-owned
companies such as National Load Dispatch Centre. While the business environment had
changed towards more liberalization, the need to build a basis of advanced corporate
culture, consistent with the company’s characteristics and market orientation is very
clear.
The restructured process of the Vietnam power sector is going in the direction of
liberalization, with the participation of many investors, institutional and individuals,
foreign and domestic. Electricity Regulatory Authority of Vietnam, a government
agency has been established to help the government create a legal framework and
implementation of the electricity industry regulation.
The shaping of the NLDC culture as the basic criteria can be a useful example for about
55 subsidiaries and affiliated companies of EVN. |
