always highly considered as the key factor of success of any organization. People are the
most important and valuable asset in creating the competitive advantage of any
organization. Thus, it seems that training and development is often recommended as a
strategic posture to develop the capable human resource for the organization. However,
the investment in training sometimes could be wasted due to the alignment between the
company’s business strategy and training strategy. Training and development have not got
sufficient attention, effort and investment.
In this context, this research focuses on studying and evaluating the current status of
training for middle managers at FPT Software, a software outsourcing services joint stock
in Vietnam. Based on the analysis of FPT Software strategy, objectives and the training
needs from interviews, the gap analysis of training needs has taken to identify needs of
training for developing the human resources focusing on middle managers of FPT
Software. The research study suggests contributing the valuable information to build up
the training strategy for middle managers in FPT Software.
Based on the findings and discussion, recommendations are given as direction in
improving the training management in general and in implementing the training strategy
for middle managers at FPT Software in particular. |
