| Abstract | Dongnai province is one of the key economic development areas in Southern Viet Nam,
bordering provinces Lamdong, Binhduong, Baria-Vungtau and the Northeastern part of
HoChiMinh City. During the past 20 years, Dongnai has maintained the third position for foreign
investment attraction after HoChiMinh City and Hanoi Capital. By the end of 2007, the total
valid project licenses were 884, with capital of US 11.6 billion. 700 enterprises are doing active
business and 80 enterprises are under construction. The total implemented capital was around
USD 6.5 billion. To the first quarter 2009, the total FDI projects are 1.016 with capital of US 14.7
billion.
The part economic structure with 50% agriculture has steadily and rapidly transformed into
Industry-Service-Agriculture. In 1990: Industry 20.72.9%, Service 29.16% and Agriculture
50.12%. In 2007: Industry 57.7%, Service 30.2% and Agriculture 12.1%. In 2008: Industry
57.9%, Service 31.5% and Agriculture 10.6%.
Presently, there are around 20 industrial parks licensed with the total area of 5,474 ha, in which
the rented area accounted for 60%. With long-term programming to 2010, Dongnai will have
around 30 industrial parks with an area of 10.000 ha. Along with industrial development,
Dongnai focuses on developing services and encouraging higher quality services to meet the
industrial parks and urban demands.

Bienhoa Corporation (called Sonadezi), one of leading companies in Viet Nam to successfully
develop IPs, and other subsidiaries. |
