| Abstract | Human resource is the most important asset of a company on which the success of most
today’s business depends. While the need of the today organizations for the employees with
high quality and commitment increases significantly, the question about “How to motivate
the employees” is more challenging for a company which really wants to develop and sustain
their business through their human resources.
BSCC is not an exceptional case. In recent years, the rate of turnover at BSCC has been
increasing and drives the BSCC into difficult situation. It is time for BSCC leadership and
management to pay more attention and priority to staff retention.
With understanding of the employee motivation and retention theories and practices, this
research studies two groups of factors which can influence the employees in BSCC: (1)
Motivation factors and (2) Hygiene factors.
Based on the detailed analysis, the research study sets out the recommendations for BSCC (1)
Reforming salary policy and bonus, (2) Applying KPI method to evaluate employees, (3)
Creating more effective rewards and recognition, (4) Completing an effective training
program, (5) Establishing a feedback system, (6) Building more transparent and fair
promotion policy |
