| Abstract | Since the rising of open market economy, the awareness of how important the human
capital is in an organization has clearly come into light. Competitive advantage of one
company over its rivals has become a crucial point. Ability to crowd in skilled and talented
people is seen to be one of the key determinants to success or failure and the survival of
a business. The purpose of this paper is to assess how effective the training of managers in
ACLEDA Bank is and how to improve the deficiencies that could take place. Qualitative
data analysis is a very good tool to measure effectiveness of training programs that the
bank has provided. The findings suggest an expected outcome might be different from
what many have anticipated. There will always be a fine line which separate the benefits of
training and non-training programs and those of internal and external programs. Careful
judgment should be carefully taken before making decisions on which way an organization
should follow through in terms of initiatives to develop the human resources |
