| Abstract | After 9 year of development, Cuong Thuan IDICO Development Investment Corporation
(CTC) has achieved some certain success in term of business scale, revenue,
profit…However, The CTC’s Board of management has an aspiration of building up
CTC to become a comprehensive giant in the Vietnamese construction industry which
effectively contribute to the development of Dongnai province socio-economic condition.
Because of the global economic crisis risen in late 2008, the Vietnamese construction
industry is in a state of crisis, with substantial downsize of market and job losses as a
result. CTC is a well-known construction company in Dongnai province with many
business activities such as: civil and transportation contractor, material and pre-cast
concrete sewer production…Some of its business activities is significantly hit by the
crisis with problems such as strategic management, competition, HRs.
In order to use the existing advantages to overcome those difficulties and achieve the
desired goals, growth is one of the essential solutions. Therefore, CTC needs to analyze
its condition in an integration context and develop a specific strategy with these main
goals: increasing business scale, market share, and revenue; diversifying business
activity; expanding production and developing new subsidiaries. |
