| Abstract | For 46 years, Hatien1 Cement Joint Stock Company has undergone significant changes
during development of the company, and continues to maintain its leading business in the
cement industry in Vietnam Southern. In recent years, the company has promoted
expanding investment projects, enhancing ability of competition, developing distribution
system and increasing consumption, especially expanding export markets into Cambodia
and Middle East.
BPW which is one of the most important units of Hatien1, is responsible for producing
whole bags of Hatien’s products. Within the next 5 years from 2010 to 2015, together with
huge increase in production from 56 million to 126 million products, it will make
challenges and difficulties facing the BPW to achieve the goals of workshops.
This research will emphasize the analysis of the effects of inside and outside factors on
BPW, and SWOT analysis is done based on these results. Then the research will find the
causes of difficulties which have limited ability of the workshop to reach its objectives and
strategic goals from now to 2015, including workforce shortage, low productivity, and
unqualified labour, unreasonable organizational structure. From such problem analysis,
BPW should have specific measures of increasing productivity, changing operation
mechanism, re-organizing human resource and in particular must have effective
recruitment policy and training programs for new employees.
The above solutions will help BPW to improve and optimise the production and human
resource of BPW. Otherwise, they also create a stable operating environment in the new
situation and obtain more benefit for Hatien1. |
