| Abstract | In the late 1990s, Cement Corporations in the world such as Holcim, Chinfon, Nghi
Son...invested capital in Vietnam cement market. With an advanced method of production,
new technology, modern machinery, competitive price, good quality and mode of
management are affected on business of the cement industry of Vietnam in general and Ha
Tien 1 Cement J.S Company (HT1) in particular. The cement market in Vietnam is
becoming more and more competitive. Many cement companies in Vietnam are facing
unprofitable business. To overcome this challenge, HT1 has to exert more effort to
enhance its ability to compete in the market by developing its competitive advantage.
Cement Production Department is one of the most important departments of HT1. With the
main product, new technology, and largest number of machinery and employee, so CPD
has role as a “heart of HT1”. To achieve the HT1’s business strategies, in range of
activities, CPD has to set up goal by creating competitive advantage through effective
human resource management practices. |
