| Abstract | Vietnam is attracting more investors to build new power plants. With the advantage of the
topography and hydrology, hydropower plants have been built. To fully meet the power
demand in the coming years, Vietnam needs to build coal-fired power plants. To attract
investors to build new power plants, Vietnam should have a reasonable mechanism for
electricity prices. Electricity Law was approved in 2004 to ensure the right to selfdetermine
the power purchase price between the seller and the buyer in framework of rates
prescribed by the State.
This research studies the solution to improve the negotiated price of coal-fired power plants
in EVN. |
