| Abstract | The Internet of Things (IoT) technology enables a world where most thigs of everyday life are
interconnected and online. This development changes the conventional paradigm of information
flow but at the same time contributes to threat of cyberattacks. Each online device introduces a
further vulnerability to the network as a whole. In this paper an Intrusion Detection System is
proposed to secure IoT networks using a Raspberry Pi. The modelled system is setup in an advanced
test environment and subjugated to security tests. The performance of the system is analyzed and
evaluated to determine whether such a system is feasible. |
