| Abstract | Established in 1981, the Joint Venture Vietsovpetro is the most successful oil company,
operating on the continental shelf of Vietnam until now and contributes significantly to the
economic development of the country. However, in the last six years, the production of the
joint venture continuously slows down. Since established, the organizational structure of
joint venture nearly not changed until now.
The agreement on the Joint Venture will finish at the end of 2012. According to Vietnam
government decision, joint venture Vietsovpetro will be transforming into Limited
Liability Company under Vietnamese Business Law.
This research is analyzing the restructuring process of joint venture for preparing them to
be incorporated into the Limited Liability Company. Through the reviewing of the
literature on the concepts of restructure organization, the definition, characteristics and
problems in design and perform of organizational structure change, then the organizational
restructure has defined. This research provides an overview of company background,
current structure, performance and strategies of company and initial organizational
structure changing plan. This research also measures current operation results by collecting
and analyzing records of company in the past, present and compares with the planned
operation in the future.
This research focuses on organizational restructuring. Based on the problem analysis,
solutions and recommendations will be derived for the Joint Venture Vietsovpetro and its
member divisions for restructuring. |
