| Abstract | Objectives of this research are to assess the need for skilled labor in the development process
in Myanmar and how to solve the gap between demand and supply of skill labor for
sustainable economic growth in this country.
Despite the government's market oriented policy initiated in 1989 offering more credit to the
private sector, foreign investment still plays a dominating role in Myanmar's economic
development and absorb a large proportion of the country's resources. In spite of that, a
majority of private firms utilize their work force to become efficient employees, and role of
human resource management to contribute neither their staff nor a country.
The research has summarized the features of human resource development in Myanmar and
formal education system, which is so far unable to satisfy the demand of skilled labor, both in
quality and quantity. But it was happened in every country. The most important finding of
this research problems of formal education system, practical implementation of firm's
training system to development their workforce and how film's conttibute to the society. In
this context, firms fill up the partial fulfillment of the gap in skill formation of formal
education. However, suggests necessary solution to improvement the petformance of
education and training in Myanmar, at least, in the current stage of its development process. |
