| Abstract | Thailand is developing its first Science Park project for promoting research efforts in support
of technology intensive industries and facilitating the growth of science and technology
investment in Thailand. Thus, establishing suitable management strategies for the Science
Park will be needed.
At present, Hong Kong is developing its first Science Park project also. This research study
was conducted to examine the management strategies employed in Hong Kong Science Park
in the areas like its mission, policy issues, organization and administration system, marketing,
services, linkages and incubation management. The analysis of potential impacts of Science
Park to the local economy and success factors for the plan was assessed also.
Based on these identified management strategies of Hong Kong Science Park, findings and
potential applications to Thailand are presented concerning Government support for specific
industry sector R&D activities, preferential policies, incubation management developing and
linkages to support the Science Park. |
