| Abstract | Electronic commerce or E-commerce is used as a new strategy within many
business sectors. Companies believe that E-commerce can improve efficiency in finding
and interacting with customers, in communicating with trading partners, and in
developing new products and markets.
Although the Internet is an ideal environment for E-commerce, many companies
are still reluctant to go on-line with E-commerce on the Internet. They perceive the
Internet as a non-secure environment, and the major factors of E-commerce are not
clearly defined from the business viewpoints.
The purposes of the study are to identify the significant roles and current status of
E-commerce implementation on the Internet among each business category as well as to
analyze the important factors that have impacts on business success with the E-commerce
strategy. Furthermore, the existing problems are located from the management point of
view. Several Thai businesses were selected in order to realize the relevant information
for fulfilling all types of E-commerce. The different businesses employ distinct strategies
to succeed in developing Internet E-commerce. The result of the study will give the useful
direction for the future development of E-commerce on the Internet in the business
environment. |
