| Abstract | This study is concerned with the strategy used by the Industrial Research and
Development Institute of Semarang in marketing of the waste treatment. In order to know the
progress of this Institute in marketing, the measurements have been made in terms of
perception of users and potential users.
To back up above objective, analyzing the marketing strategies used by institute has
been discussed. There are also covering up to understand perception of customers about the
IR&DI products and competing products and the influences of marketing strategies on
potential market image. Then, the recognizing the strength and the weakness of IR&DI market
position have been agitated.
In order to reach all of those, primary data have been collected by interviews and
questionnaires, and cross step has been used to calculating the respondent's sensitiveness
toward waste treatment product.
On the basis of development the alternatives in offering waste treatment product and
comparing them with SWOT analysis of IR&DI, the future prospect has been concluded.
Finally, based on all discussions above, modifications of marketing strategy of waste
treatment are made to IR&DI to improve the market share for long-term objective. |
