| Abstract | The study was performed in fe11ile ponds during high and low standing stock of phytoplankton. Automated monitoring system was used to measure all data and recorded in a data logger. The maximum quantum efficiency of photosynthesis ( <J>max) and light absorption ability of chlorophyll (Kc) were calculated. Kc and <J>max were 0.028 m2 mg·1 Chl and 0.018 mole 0 2 Ein·1 absorbed, respectively. Kc and <J>max from this study were different from most literature which done in lake, reservoir, ocean, or pure culture. Yield estimates GPP model which used observed Kc and <J>max to calculate were approximate 50% lower than value from literature. |
