| Abstract | The fundamental building block of any computer is its instruction set. Carefully analysis
an existing computer instruction set is important for aiding processor design evaluation. Only
when findings are in hand can a new instruction set be designed.
The present study explores a number of results which obtained by both static instruction
frequency count (SIFC) and dynamic instruction frequency count (DIFC). The Intel 8086 has been
chosen as the target microprocessor, because, it is a very popular and heavily used machine. |
