| Abstract | In this thesis, the type of contracts used among each party involved in large
constrnction projects is investigated. Forty-five Bangkok-based constrnction projects is
randomly selected for the data collection through interviews. Types of contract and
details, project organization, project contractual agreement, advantages and disadvantages
of each contract type, relationship between each four main groups involved in I
constrnction works as well as the material purchasing system are studied and concluded
in the first part.
Moreover, the environmental factors which also afftect the construction contracting
system such as the new Value Added Tax system or the shortage of construction materials
especially cement and steels are studied and concluded in the second part.
