| Abstract | Technology has contributed significantly to the
development of the airline industry. But technology being available
to all airline operators, it can no longer be a factor for
competitive advantage in the airline business. Hence air lines like
Singapore Airlines have started to use the human resource as a
factor for competitive advantage to fight the fierce competition.
But this will be possible only with a planned human resource
management and a strong career development program to motivate and
enhance the level of satisfaction of its employees which have
become a very important resource for the success of the air line
business.
The aim of this Research Study is to identify the problems faced by the
employees of Royal Nepal Airlines in their career development so
as to reduce their frustration through corrective measures.
The approach made in the study is mostly qualitative in
nature based on the findings o f a general sur vey through
questionnaire, interviews made with selected persons of the
management and employees of Royal Nepal Air lines together with the
author's own experience in Royal Nepal Airlines for more than 10
years.
Based on the findings of the study, recommendations have
been made which would serve as guidelines to the employees as well
as to the management of Royal Nepal Air lines in formulating future
policies for their development. |
