| Abstract | Until now there stilled exist different opinion about using
bioaugmentation technique in wastewater treatment technology. In
this study due to combined waste water (industrial + domestic)
contain heavy metal and chlorinated Cl and C2 compounds which
inhibit the biodegradation of activated sludge process, In order
to solve this problem by using the liquid live microorganisms
(LLMO) to enhanced the removal efficiency.
In this study between the LLMO enhanced system and control
system the MLSS were maintained at 2200 mg/l and 3000 mg /l
respectively. The alternative aeration period were equaled to 3
hours. That has been found there were no significant difference
in COD removal efficiency between the LLMO enhanced system and
control system. But only that the control system's MLSS must be
maintained at 3000 - 3500 mg/l to keep the same COD removal
efficiency with the LLMO enhanced system were observed .
In this study one can found that the removal of chlorinated
Cl and C2 compounds and heavy metal the LLMO enhanced system and
control system almost have the same removal efficiency were
observed but the system with the LLMO could saved 50 % aeration
energy and reduced the amounts of sludge production along with
the process. |
