| Abstract | The objective of MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM development is to make
information useful and reliable to the management . This study is proceeded
with walking through the existing construction project working procedures
and interviewing with a construction company's staff of various levels.
Throughout the study, a prototyping approach is recommended for getting its
benefit of early use and quick response by the user; the importance of
users' requirements for the system development is enhanced; the problem
areas of the existing system are explored through interviews . To some
extend, some suggested solutions for the explored problem areas are
recommended. The study also proposed a design procedure for making
adjustable output format. Furthermore, The study also suggested a grouping
the required input information for the outputs in cost and schedule
control in PROJECT MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM. By using this method an
individual PMIS can be developed. Finally, the system hierarchical chart is
introduced for the integration of the system. No attempt is made for the
computerized programming. |
