| Abstract | The subject of the study is development of a rational algorithm for
subsidence due to water loss. The governing equations are obtained according
to Biot's theory and the solution have been obtained by applying Laplace and
Hanl<el transform of which the inversions can be achieved by using Shapery's
approximation technique. An explicit scheme with homogeneous h alf space, two
layered half space and three layered half space are developed and an implicit
scheme with multilayered half space is developed. It is found that the solution
presented can be applied to practical problem. |
