| Abstract | This study reports the results of an experimental
investigation of anchor bolts embedded in unreinforced concrete,
monotonically loaded in shear. All anchor bolts were embedded
sufficiently to develop the minimum tensile strength of the bolt
steel. Pairs of anchor bolts with varing spacings and edge
distances were loaded in shear in the direction perpendicular to
the line of bolts to observe the failure interaction mechanisms
of two bolts. Tests were also conducted on single bolt anchorages
with varing edge distances to compare with reults of double
bolts. Load-deflection curves up to three cycles of unloading and
reloading prior to reaching the ultimate loads, are obtained for
all the tests. |
