| Abstract | The performance of two BPx47 CF single crystal silicon
photovoltaic modules and one SX -2 0, semi crystalline silicon
photovoltaic module is described in this research study. The
data obtained from the experiment under natural operating
conditions is compared with the manufacturer's specification.
The data and results obtained from the experiment does not
actually concide with the manufacturer's data for all three
modules. The efficiencies of the modules of the same size and
materials are found to be different.
The solar cell equation parameters are determined from the
experimental data by using the least square method proposed by
APPELBAUM et. al . The temperature effect and the insolation
effect on the parameters of the photovoltaic module s are
described . It is found that the . parameter values are found to be
varied with the temperature and insolation level changes.
The measured and calculated values of voltage are found to
be almost equal. The I-V curves plotted from the calculated
values fit with the measured values indicating acceptable values
of the parameters. |
