| Abstract | The study has been carried out to design and implement an
extension of Pascal by coroutines. This extension is achieved by
modified Pascal- S in both compiler and interpreter corresponding
to the design of the syntax and the semantic of the language . The
storage management scheme used is efficient in that a programmer
need pay only the overhead in terms of memory that is
associated with the language feature actually used . This storage
management scheme is modified from the original stack-heap to
decrease the temporaries needed for a retentive module. The
extended language is suited for quasi-parallel programming and
for process-oriented simulation of discrete event . Use of the
system is illustrated by an example of JOB-SHOP simulation
program. |
