| Abstract | This thesis presents a summary of the extensive work carried out
recently on soil stabilization by bitumen, cement, lime and lime
pozzolar for road construction. Emphasis has been made on the mechanisms of stabilization, factors affecting stabilization, engineering properties and millx design of the stabilized soils. Various structural pavement design methods are cited and requirements of the soil
properties to ensure good quality stabilized soils are stipulated. |
