| Abstract | This thesis presents a method for analysis of rectangular frames subjected to horizontal loads. This method, the panel method, is an extension of the procedure introduced by Professor L. C. Maugh. The study starts
with a single bay, columns having the same K, and proceeds through more difficult cases of frames having two or three bays, and members having different stiffnesses.
The last problem shows the method for analysis of a set-back frame, and finally the results of one analysis
are checked by model analysis. |
