AbstractThis research has been aimed to study the impact of the increase in gasoline price on the consumption of automobile tires. In addition, the structure and characteristics of the automobile tire industry, as well as the description of petroleum situation in Thailand, are presented and discussed in general. The study related to tire consumption is for Bangkok and concerns only passenger car tires. A questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting first-hand information and data relevant to the study and personal inter view was used for follow-up. Random sampling was used for data collection. The present and future amount of passenger car tire consumption, as well as the impact of gasoline price increase on the consumption of tire, have been assessed and projected using different mathematical models.
