| Abstract | The aim of this research has been to initiate research to develop a solar powered water pump to be used for irrigation purposes, Several test models were studied. The test models consisted of all the essential components with the exception of automatic valve action. In this research tests were carried on models having hand operated valves. From the test results it was found that the output power of the test units was around 0.02 hp. Characteristics of the hot chamber was also studied. Some possible configurations were discussed for the future modifications and for making the system fully automatic. |
