AbstractThe Thai Glass Industries Ltd. in Bangkok has been selected for the purpose of study. Two major product groups are selected for study. The product quality activities in the company are identified, and described. To provide an overall picture of the product quality management system, a dynamic simulation model is developed and the dynamic behavior of the system studied. Some alternative policies are tested and recommended. design of attribute control chart is then studied. Economic The relevant cost factors are identified to determine the optimal plan, and two inferences regarding the relationship between cost coefficients and the decision variables are reached. An economic sampling plan is developed whose optimal solution can be solved by computer simulation. Three general conclusions involving the relationship of cost coefficients and decision variables, in this case, are also drawn. The shortcomings of the existing quality information system of the company are identified and an improved system is suggested.
