AbstractThis study is concerned with a general analysis of the farm mechanization program in Taiwan, Power tillers are particularly emphasized on rice farms which occupied 62% of the total cultivated acreage. It was found that labour shortage and low reproduction rate of cows are the two main reasons persuading farmers to use power machines. The main objective of this study is to find out what are the measures to be taken in overcoming the existing problems and difficulties.
