AbstractA continuous process industry has been selected for studying the managerial decision-making processes. An industrial dynamic approach is employed to study the firm\'s activities and an industrial dynamic model has-been developed ~for·· showing the interactions between various components in the organization. Concepts of management information systems have been introduced. A management information system has been ·proposed to the organization by identifying the system requirements and parameters Which measure the characteristics and effectiveness of a management ·information system. A preliminary design has been made for the proposed system.
