AbstractThe purpose of the study was to compute the discharges and stages along the river system. To reach this aim, a computational scheme was developed, using "Nodes and Branches" method, which implies Continuity and Momentum Equations. This method needs known flow conditions at some points in the system, These flow conditions are called as Boundary Condition. In this study, discharges hydrograph and tidal fluctuations are used as upstream and downstream boundary conditions. The initial condition which are normally unavailable was found not to have much effect on the computed result provided that computed results are considered. This was known as the convergence property of the implicit scheme used in the present study. The detail compactional procedure of node and branch computational technique was presented in the investigation.
