AbstractThis study deals with the analysis of fertilizer industry in India with emphasis on consumption of nitrogen, phosphates and potash. It studies the geographical distribution of fertilizer plants. It Zone and statewise analysis is done on consumption and production of above mentioned nutrients. An attempt for short term forecasting is made using least square and exponential methods.
