AbstractA complete solution for the bending of an overhanging full circular plate supported on a ring of equally spaced columns is presented. The problem is solved under the assumptions that the columns do not restrain the rotation of the slab, and that the column reaction is a uniformly distributed line load along the ring. Some limiting cases are investigated and parametric studies are carried out. The results are presented in the form of charts to facilitate the analysis and the design of such structures.
