| Abstract | The problem of selective withdrawal of the cooling water from a stratified fluid consisting of two liquid layers different slightly in density is considered. Both are analytical and experimental study will be conducted for the case of a vertical axis, circular intake with a velocity cap located near the bottom of the lower layer. Experimental results will be used for comparison with the theoretical solutions. An
attempt is made to find the relationship between the flow parameters. |
